Video/Dance Performance with Gina Graham - 2013

 

Dance for Face is a video & dance collaboration by Jason Bernagozzi and Gina Graham featuring video projection, live cameras and custom performance software. This work explores body politics in the age of streaming media, the dancer and her recording attempt to respond to one another as the image breaks down and ruptures in real time as it tries to keep up with her. The dialogue between them falls apart; the signal becomes less stable until only the physical body of the dancer remains.
